Sermon Note (4th svc)

Is anybody living abundant life to reflect what the Lord have for us?
Good things are happening to me wherever I go. Live life where people sees the abundant life. God wants me heal more than i want myself to be healed. 

Receive as a gift and the gift transform me. 

We get saved to be better men.

Accept Jesus and the gift will transform me!

The voice of sin speak loud but the voice of forgiveness speaks louder!

Come to Jesus straight as I am! 

Change your mind – repent

Change your mind about sin or change your mind about what you are going to do. 

No love is like our Daddy God’s love. 

Repentance is nothing more than changing your mind.   

Mark 1:14-15

Jesus Begins His Galilean Ministry

Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

Change our mind, Jesus is here to save us!!

Always believe in Him. 

Acts 20:20-21
how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is out to bless me. Repentance is going on all the time but we can’t use it for salvation. 

It cannot be free with a “but”. Message with a “but” is no longer free. 

Jesus became sin on the cross. He is totally sinless and yet He became sin and separated from God for us. 
Is easy for us but easy does not mean cheap. 

We were all wicked sinners when we got saved. 

There is no such thing as “less died” or “more died”

All of us are dead spiritually. 

Jesus came to save us all. 

He came to make dead people live! There is no degree of dead. All are dead. 

God breathe life into our mouth. In the same way, we die with the breathe from our mouth. 

Line up with God who loves us. 

Repentance is a valid teaching but it means change your mind. 
Every Sunday people’s minds are changing. The more we change our mind, the cleaner our mind is. 

Old Testament God changed His mind a number of times. 

There are 46 references of the changing of mind in the Old Testament. 9 times out of 46 is men repenting.  
Repentance is with a hei. 
Hei is a breathe of God. Hei is letter of grace. 

God delights in forgiving. 

God will not destroy for 10 sake!

God is not a God who delight in punishing. 

Exodus 32:14

So the Lord relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people.

God is holy holy holy!

Everytime we turn to grace, that is repentance. 

Come to Jesus and take Him as my life. He came to be used. 

Jesus is the bread of life! He came to the world to give us bread! Only Christ can satisfy! He expect us to eat Him and drink Him!

Jesus’ heart is at home.

He is a better Savior than I am as a sinner. 

Every sheep counts. Jesus left 99 to look for the 1 that was lost. He found and rejoice with the lost sheep. 

Luke 15:5-7

And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

How did the sheep repent? The shepherd did all the finding, the celebration, what did the sheep do to repent? The sheep consented to be loved. To God that is repentance!

The sheep consented to be carried!

The sheep consented to be rested on the strong shoulder 

That is repentance. 

Luke 15:16-20

And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.

“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’

“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

In the Father’s house there is bread enough and to spare!

Whatever my reason is, when i go towards Him, He will run to me!
Matthew 27:3

Judas Hangs Himself

Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

Devil hates you, God loves you! When we serve God, we give strength and God gives us back strength!!

Whatever we give to God, He multiples it. 

When we give our strength and youthfulness to the Lord, He multiples them.

The boat was given to Jesus to preach and it became magnetized and fish are attracted to the boat! 

Matthew 27:3-5

Judas Hangs Himself

Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.”

And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it!”

Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Salvation has nothing to do with me. We come to God nothing and then He fill us. 

Breathe comes from Him. 

Change happen later because the power has come. 

Acts 10:43-44

To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”

The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.

Acts 11:2-4

And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him, saying, “You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!”

But Peter explained it to them in order from the beginning, saying:

Acts 11:15-18

And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?”

When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.”

John 20:31

but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

You cannot believe without repenting. 

Acts 2:41

Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

In one day 3000 souls were saved and baptized on the same day!! 

Put their trust in Christ, they are saved. 

Don’t confuse the root with the fruit. The root is real and the fruit will be real!
Everything goes around the sun. It is the right centre. Jesus will be the centre of our marriage life. The Lord is the centre of all I do!

Easy does not mean cheap! Jesus is the One who paid on the cross for us

Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved!

John saw multitude in heaven that no man could number. 
John 3:16 is the word believe. 

Rejoice! Our prayers are heard. 

God gives us His Son at the cross so that you and I can be saved. 

Salvation is a gift to receive. 

True preaching will produce change of mind. When we believe right we will live right.
