Sermon Note 1st June
See no one but Jesus only!
When His people come together there is corporate anointing.
Long before Adam fell, the secret was His Son and His bride (church). The church was in God’s heart.
The church of Jesus Christ alive and well!!
No enemy attack gate. We are attacking the gate of hell! To set the capture free!!
We speak and preach and lives are transformed!
Testimonies are meant to be shared! The woman with issue of blood for 12 years heard testimonies of people sharing how their sons got healed. When asked, Jesus was the name she heard! Is a revelation of Jesus!
Testimony of Grace.
We believe there is one God and the devil believe and they tremble.
The devil managed to impart fears. When we are not under law but under grace, the devil has no power over us.
As preachers, we shld put people under grace.
Grace is not basic. Grace is a Person.
Testimony
This woman shared her husband and her marriage’s wine run out. They were married for 30 years. They went to many marriage counsellor and some actually proposed them divorce. They separated but did not divorce. They knew this is not the way. She heard pastor price sermon program in the tv.
She was touched. She carefully suggested to her husband to watch the sermon. He did. God’s grace has impact on him too. Their marriage became much better and it is miracle! Now they are truly ministers of the gospel!
When we have shalom in our lives, our whole being prosper!!
Shalom – when we said peace to someone, it is Paid For! Jesus paid for our peace, prosperity and blessings!!
How do we increase in this shalom? How many wanna increase in your health?
God devote entire universe (creation) to one chapter. God devoted 10 chapters to salvation.
Look forward to communion. Whatever not there, God will put it in. Whatever is poison, God will remove it.
Grace and peace be multiplied through the knowledge and see more of Jesus!!!
The bible calls us Living Stone!
1 Peter 2:4-5
The Chosen Stone and His Chosen People
Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Coming to Jesus He is the Living Stone! Those who does not have eyes to see Jesus, they are rejected.
We are chosen by God and precious!!
We are all small stones from Him! If we believe on Christ, we are the Living Stone!!
When temple of Solomon was being built, there was no sound of hammer. It was outside the temple area they prepared.
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
God call us out of darkness!!
Man is created in the image of God!
He brought out of darkness to His marvelous light! Life in light is so much better than darkness!!
How the Lord shape us? The Lord has purpose for us in our lives!
Our lives is not about making money until we are 50 plus and use our money to get back health!
Don’t work to make money. We delight in our creativities and our job should give us pleasures.
Labour not to be rich.
We work but work is an expression. When we work at something we enjoy, the money will come.
Sometimes God will bring people to come and tell us things!
Copper will be melted and become a pillar in the temple of Solomon. He that overcome, become pillar of the temple o Solomon! We are not just stones but pillars!! I am one of them!!
We feel constrained when we are put in a mold.
A bar of iron, we melt it and cultivated and the value increased!
Under heat, our words changed! It is good the words come out. Don’t be angry with the person. God uses people to cut the rough places.
Help against. Wife is opposite of husband and therefore it is help against.
God wants to make us into pillar. Not just stone, but pillar!
David was about to go to war. And his man stopped him. One David worth 10 thousand men.
God wants to make us a person who is not just a stone but pillar!!
God wants to make us vessel of honour!!
The way He cultivate us and make us into pure gold, He makes us into pillars!! Not all are pillars.
Jesus cannot touch little to not make it into plenty!
Andrew and John were disciples of John the Baptist.
Behold the Lamb of God. When we talk about Jesus, we don’t know whose hearts are touched.
Andrew went to find his brother, Simon Peter. He told him we have found the Messiah!
John 1:40-42
One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus.
Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “ You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone).
We are being called a rock or a stone.
Simon means hearing.
Peter was converted. It is one thing to be converted another to be cultivated.
Jesus had more works to do on Peter. Multitude pressed on to hear Jesus’s preaching.
Serve good food! Jesus is good Food! We eat it! That is how we nourish! Feed on Jesus! All of picture of Jesus’s suffering on the cross can be seen in the making of bread.
There were 2 boats. Jesus stepped into the One who belong to Simon Peter.
If the Lord tells us to give our time or money, He is setting us up to bless Him!!
Launch out into the deep and drop down your nets for a big catch!!
Jesus said let down the nets! And Peter let down the net. Peter had to call for help! The net began to break. The supply was greater than the mean to carry! God always think bigger!!
It is the goodness of God that leads man into repentance. We must understand under law we have to change. But under grace, God blesses us first and we changed.
Peter saw Jesus as the Son of God! He was introduced to Jesus for Messiah.
Peter grabbed Jesus’ legs and repented. Jesus said do not fear and from now on Peter will catch men.
A lot of people try to reason away the blessings of God.
Right after the catch of fish, Jesus went to Peter’s house. Peter’s mother in law had fever. Jesus rebuked the fever and she was healed. It is not just Jesus’ power, but the love in His eyes!
When people see multitudes, Jesus saw sheep without shepherd.
The eyes of dove. He saw them as sheep without shepherd.
People are hungry for fulfillment.
When we look at Jesus, His eyes are tender. Jesus looked with compassion.
Jesus saw the multitudes and asked His disciples (to test them). Jesus has compassion for the multitudes.
Peter represent you and I.
Jesus cultivate us until we become pillar!
The winds were strong. It was blowing against where they were going. Progress is hard without Jesus!
The boat is picture of the church.
Jesus came walking on the water!
600 feet below sea level. The Lord is above the storm!!
Jesus walked on the water and the disciples were afraid and shouted is he a ghost?!
Jesus is the I Am!
Peter’s eyes were on Jesus and he could do what Jesus was doing – walk on the water! When Peter’s eyes looked away from Jesus, he could not do what Jesus was doing!!
God wants us constantly weak and rely on Jesus!!
We are building people who walk on storm!
Obedience of right believing!!
As long as we put Jesus in between us and the circumstances, we will be ok and we will conquer!
Peter was too slow to reach Jesus but Jesus was not too slow to reach Peter!!
Jesus went back to the boat. Immediately when He stepped into the boat, the wind ceased.
John 6:21
Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
We made progress when Jesus is in the boat!!
See the word IMMEDIATELY!
Jesus still giving to Peter the honour.
Peter gave to Jesus. Get ready! Whatever we give to Jesus, it will come back much more than we have given Him!!
Matthew 16:13-17
Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ
When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “ Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
He said to them, “ But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “ Blessed are you, Simon Bar- Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 16:21-23
Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection
From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”
But He turned and said to Peter, “ Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
Some people when we give them compliment, they forgot their position.
When Jesus turned around n looked at His disciples- it is like saying if He don’t go to the cross, what will happen to His disciples!
Matthew 17:2-8
and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles:one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. But Jesus came and touched them and said, “ Arise, and do not be afraid.” When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.
When we are in the presence of God, learn to listen and not tell God what to do.
1st word from Jesus’ mouth is “don”t be afraid”
See no one but Jesus only!!!
Luke 22:31-34
Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial
And the Lord said, “ Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
But he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.”
Then He said, “ I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.”
Long before the devil comes, Jesus has prayed for us!
Luke 22:54-62
Peter Denies Jesus, and Weeps Bitterly
Having arrested Him, they led Him and brought Him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed at a distance. Now when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them. And a certain servant girl, seeing him as he sat by the fire, looked intently at him and said, “This man was also with Him.”
But he denied Him, saying, “Woman, I do not know Him.”
And after a little while another saw him and said, “You also are of them.”
But Peter said, “Man, I am not!”
Then after about an hour had passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Surely this fellow also was with Him, for he is a Galilean.”
But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are saying!”
Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “ Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So Peter went out and wept bitterly.
The eyes of Jesus are the eyes of doves. The look to Peter was loving look, not accused look.
Matthew 27:26-31
Then he released Barabbas to them; and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.
The Soldiers Mock Jesus
Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole garrison around Him. And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head. And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified.
They stripped Jesus. When man sin against God, the glory that cover man was gone!
Jesus took our place and give us double honor!!
Mark 16:5-7
And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.
But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.”
Jesus left a message after He rose from the dead. Peter cried his eyes out thinking he was finished. Jesus appeared to Simon Peter. Peter was restored.
John 21:9-15
Jesus made breakfast!
Jesus was still serving!!
Before the Lord ask us to do something, He make sure we are being fed!
Where sin increased, grace superabound!
Grace abound where there is greatest failure!
This is our Saviour and our Lord Jesus!! How beautiful He is!
Amanda Pride says
How beautiful Our Lord Jesus is!
