Midweek bible study (12/2/2014) – Ps Joseph Prince

(Foreword: ALL my notes are taken LIVE during the service. Even this one. Please pardon if the notes are not as complete as I would like as it was such a RICH bible study!! I highly recommend you buy the sermon CD and listen to it for yourself to glean from it. I will be doing so. So much to absorb and feed from it. 😀 Also excuse me if I make spelling errors for the Hebrew words 🙂 I tried to spell some of the terms phonetically.)

Before offering:

God have even when we were not deserving. Today we need to realise our heart can be filled with thankfulness for every good things in our life. Look at every good thing God has done. Remember the cross. The greatest love he can declare was Jesus on the Cross. Don’t focus on negative. Freely we can receive. Freely we can give.

Who compares to you. Who sets the stars in their place. You who calmed the raging seas that came crashing over me… No one ever will compare to U, Jesus.

Going into Hebrew

If anyone comes up to u and say hyper grace, tell them they are right. Romans 5- where sins increase, grace huper Perusio (hyper)— this grace is hyper. So never to deny it. Not just hyper. We are hyper perusio ( to overflow). Overflowing and some more on top of that.

The very son from whom the woman David created adultery with, he became the successor. God doesn’t approve the sin but grace super abounded. Solomon.

What is Paul’s answer to man’s question on shall we sin more to have more grace? Paul’s answer-how shall we who are DEAD. Dead is not dying. Dead to sin is dead to sin.

Likewise reckon yourself dead to sin-

Romans 6:11- just like Christ died to sin once and for all, reckon yourself (based on an accomplish fact), u consider urself dead to sin once and for all. Jesus was tempted but he never sinned. The temptation was never to sin. Jesus never felt the power of sin. To feel the power of sin, must have depravity that corresponds to outside temptation.

Romans Jesus body was made in the likeness of sinful flesh. Not sinful flesh itself.

How did Christ die? To the guilt, condemnation of sin. He carried all our sins and the guilt and condemnation. We also need to reckon ourselves dead to the guilt and condemnation so we will have the power to go sin no more.

Some say under law for sanctification but if under law in any way, under a curse. Law is perfect. Dun bring law down to ur level. Unless u do everything according to the law, under curse. Once under law= under condemnation.

U don’t realise how bad ur flesh is when u say must be under sanctification by the law.

No one has a greater respect for the law than those who say no one can keep it. Not just physically but in every way. So only way to be justified is by grace.

Romans 10- how we can be saved ( written for believers and non-blvr)

Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Christ is our all in all. We can’t have two masters. U can’t go to Jesus for forgiveness and then try to keep law. Spiritual adultery. (see Rom7)

V6- actually quoting from Deut 30:11-15

Word of faith – in ur mouth and heart. V8

Deut 30:11- the commandment –> Deut 30:12 (what ‘it’ refers to)

The law is hear it and do it. – v13

Compared to: Grace is speak it and believe it.

Moses told to speak to the rock. Moses represents doing. Hit the rock. Not pleasing to God.

V14&15- speak it. Before us is life and good on one side & death and evil on other side. So choose to speak life and good.

Every letter is a number in the Hebrew.

1 or 1000- aleph

If u count how many alephs there are in Gen 1:1–> exactly 6 alephs. 6000 years.
We are now in the final culmination of the time.

Let the mind who has wisdom calculate the number of the beast. His number is 666.- revelation.

It is the number of his name. 666- man in all his depraved nature.

22 chapt in Rev because 22 letters in Hebrew alphabet.

Hei- who is worthy to loose the seals? Jesus. Grace.

Must have hebrew mind to ustd Revelation

Read from right to left because right is place of blessing and power.

Yod- 10 (Sarai had a Yod at the back of her name. God removed the Yod and breathed Hei into her name. Yahweh has two heis in his name and breathed one into Abraham and one into Sarah. 10 = law.)

Lamed= 30
Dalet = 4

Child = 44

Father= Ab = bet aleph

1+2= 3

Mother = Em= mem aleph
40+1= 41

Father plus mother = child!!

Hand = Yad = Dalet Yud

Each hand has how many pivot joints? 14!!

Gematria is scientifically accurate.

Sentences have gematria that relate to each other and corresponds accurately.

Lev 25:10 (KJV)

Liberty bell lettering came from this verse.

Verse for freedom. Every 50th year in Israel, slaves (whether good or bad) are liberated. 50- jubilee. Every 50th year debts are cancelled. Land is returned to orig owner

Repentance = TASHU-HEI
Return to grace

Tav shin vav bet vav – correct word should have one vav in it to spell right. But they have purposely been spelling it without that additional vav.

Tav 400, 300, 2, 6= 708

Vav is 6 and missing.

Israel came back together as a nation again in 1948, Jewish calendar = 5708

When u calculate gematria, don’t count the 5. U go 708. 1948!

So why is the extra vav missing? Because when they return in 708， 6m Jews were missing. So return is written 708.

Kabbalah is new age. Use numbers to contact the dead. Be wary of this.

Gematria pastor showing us now is just calculating by the bible verses. Not Kabbalah.

2014 gematria… What words come out in OT?

Pastor asked his Jewish friend.

Deut 30:15— what came out is exactly those words:

2014- I have set before the this day life and good.

This is exactly what God has placed in Ps heart about 2014 too

Luke 4:18-20

Jesus closed the book on “to proclaim the acceptable year of The Lord”

Isaiah 61:2 – u can see Jesus closed it before the “day of vengeance of our God”

Year longer than day. PTL.

Jesus didn’t go on because his first coming is to minister grace.

Don’t despise God’s long suffering. Peter mentioned the lockers in the last days.

Make sure ur priority is for The Lord. Time is short.

Ps 34:11, 12 > 1 Peter 3:10

Life and good days = all got to do with ur mouth.

Good days- when the enemy come against u (Eph 6) it is just evil day. Good daysssss. The attacks are short. Ur blessings are long.

2 Cor 6:2- NOW is the accepted time. NOW is the day of salvation.

Luke 4:19- dektos (most blessed time when salvation and the free favours of Hod profusely abound) = we we still in that dispensation of grace.

Some people still want to preach from OT, might as well go back to the times of Jeremiah and Isaiah. Some say Ps preach grace but not OT. Ps does. And even goes into the Hebrew.

2 Cor 6:2- we don’t have to wait for seasons to be blessed or to be healed. IT IS NOW.

Now- present.

We have a present tense forgiveness of sins. Forgiveness is not in the future. It is of the devil to say “u cannot tell”. Bible says “These things are written so u may know…”

Your standing cannot change. Your behaviour can change but ur standing remains. Judge behaviour by your standing. Not judge your standing by your behaviour.

People aren’t honest about their sins today because they don’t have the security about their standing.

Jews blv prayers heard during the hour of prayer— Acts 3:1-2

Life is – Chaim (always written in plural in Hebrew) but death is mostly written in singular. Because we have abundant and eternal life.

Present modern day Israel have largest population of healthy people. Not everyone eats kosher and not everyone exercises. So how come healthy? Because they always say “TO LIFE!” on Sabbath.

Back to Acts:

9th hour is 3pm

After Christ has finished His work, no more time of prayer. Now. We can pray at ALL times. We can pray without ceasing.

Acts 10:1-3

Cornelius prayed to God always.

9am – first lamb killed in temple.
3pm- second lamb killed in temple

So blood plus incense covers them and they are right then w God so He can hear them.

Mark 15:25- Jesus crucified at the third hour. 9am. Nailed at Calvary. First nail went in. First lamb killed.

Matthew 27:45- 6th hour to 9th hour (12-3pm) there was darkness over all the land.

Chinese recorded the three hours eclipse during Christ’s crucifixion.

Samaria- the Samaritan High Priest said to Ps Prince “every Passover we put the lamb into the ground. Cover it to be roasted for 3hrs.”

The lamb of God was hung on the cross for 3h in the dark

When Jesus was born, midnight became bright as midday. When he died, midday became like midnight so we can always walk in the light.

The moment Jesus died, ninth hour. 3pm

Why Elijah waited? 1 King 18:36
Fire came at 3pm

Today we don’t have to wait for 3pm. Every answered prayer, why we are heard and our prayers are answered… All based on the finished work of Christ.
