Sermon note (4th svc)By Pastor Lian
Sense of contentment not in the people around us, arrange our everyday, make that a priority that we will experience a deep sense of confident and contentment in Christ.
Don’t put the cart in front of the horse.
It is not taking care of the external before taking care of the inside of us.
Even if everything outside me is in mess and chaos, if inside me i can experience Jesus everyday knowing He is my Saviour, my Righteousness and i can come boldly before Him, if we can order everyday having that connection and reminding ourselves
Prayer is not about asking God whether He is paying attention or not. It is about us knowing He is.
Live everyday knowing who Jesus really is to us everyday, and we will have deep sense of confident in Christ!
Inside us there is revelation of Jesus is for me, we shall possess our possession!
Don’t be discouraged! When there is giant in the land, it means we are in the land and are possessing our possession!
Jesus is with me He is my Help, He is my Restorer, my Redeemer!
Every setback will become a comeback!
What is it to grow that inner life?
Outer life we can see it.
Pay attention to Jesus! To build, cultivate the inner life with Christ!
See Him for who He is! That is why i am be confident and contentment!
Bible is our weapon and love letter!
Philippians 4:10
Philippian Generosity
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity.
Philippians 4:11-13
Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
It is a letter written when Paul was in prison. He said he was content! He has lots of rejoice in what he wrote! His outside circumstance is in prison, but his inside circumstances is full of confidence and contentment!
A man in prison said he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him!
Paul who has an inner life, a secret life with Christ, said he can be content!
The inner life is full of Jesus, the outer life will be full of victory!
Mary, the mother of Jesus has inner life.
Luke 1:26-33
Christ’s Birth Announced to Mary
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
Luke 1:38
Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
Mary has that relationship with God. She knows that this is true even though it sounds so foreign. She believed it is true!
John 2:1-3
Water Turned to Wine
On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”
John 2:4
Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”
Although Jesus did not agree, Mary still told the servants whatever He said, do it.
John 2:5
His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
It is all because she has a relationship. She knew Jesus’ heart.
Luke 2:18-19
And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.
Mary did not stop at marvel. She kept the word.
Kept = to preserve from ruin
what do you do after you marvel?
The outside will wanna come and ruin what is in the heart.
Ponder = converse ; consult; dispute (mentally)
Argue inside. Dispute in the mind.
The answer is Jesus, this is the BEST answer.
Rest.
Pay attention to who Jesus is to us!
Divine intervention. Dun believe there is nothing happening while you are waiting. Jesus is working behind the scene for us!
Keep remembering and ordering our everyday that we don’t move away with who He is.
Ask Him for favor!
The Lord will show us things

Things can be deader than dead but inside you u have inner life, having a connection and relationship with Jesus, knowing who He really is, we don’t allow that to be shaken, everything else outside will be shaken, everything set up to destroy us will be destroyed.
This year you shall have inner life of intimacy with Christ!
This intimacy will cause a contentment a confident completely independent of what is outside.
