God kept u alive for 2014. Aren’t u glad?

The theme of the year… God has this timings. He is God outside time but created time. That is why when Jesus died, the cross was outside time. Jesus was hanging there fully god, fully man. His sacrifice avails outside time. God is holy and just and must punish sins. God is love and doesn’t want to judge us for our sins so He punished our sins in Christ. The Cross is why God can accept sinners today. His blood avails for those who lived before and way after His time. His blood is kingly and holy and divine blood- why he was born of a virgin.

All the blood of Christ came from his Father. He was born in a manger where the animal would feed from. Empty tomb in Israel- looks like a manger of stone. Jesus was born to die. He was wrapped in swaddling cloth as a baby like the way bodies were wrapped after death.

12 legions of angels at His command but He gladly laid His life down for our sins.

Chronos= natural time
Kairos= season of time where God does something in our lives

God put jewish nation under bondage for 15yrs. Kairos time.

Ion= age

At the end of Ion, Jesus came and out away sin by the sacrifice of His life. At the end of the age of law, not end of the world.

Now in the age of grace- when u use the gifts He gave u first, He rewards u for using His gifts.

Flow with Him and be rewarded for flowing with Him

Step out of your comfort zone and into the realm of grace.

Overflowing rivers of Jordan = torrential. The priest had to first step into the river before God parted it. God didn’t part river first then they step. Trust God then u will see. If u can trust the word of a man, what more the word of the living God.

The Word = Our Kairos moment for this church

God led specific prayer in 2014 for NCC- none of us will die before our time in 2014

There are people who come every week but not members. Not just member by name. Member by spirit coz some are far away but heart for GOD here Member of NCC is member in the eyes of God.

Testimony – from JB

Almost every weekend they will drive to SG to attend NCC. Touched by Jesus and grace. Recalled the aforementioned prayer and said AMEN without thinking too much. Whilst driving in JB, his wife and him argued. He started to accelerate. Braked heart at a curve, crashed into road divider and car landed on the side. Car was badly damaged and the glasses flew from her face during the accident. Passers by said they were lucky to be alive. They knew it was divine protection. Thankful to be alive. Learned from police that that very same spot had many deadly fatal accidents.

God does things for those who have flaws. Does not wait for us to be perfect before he does miracles for us. God doesn’t forsake us not leave us.

The theme of this year came by a dream. Usually he doesn’t dream the themes for the year. He isn’t a dreamer like Joseph w the technicolor coat

God usually guides him by Word and inward witness. Last year’s theme was by inner voice.

He had dreams in the past when the church was v small 100 members. They wanted to appoint a guy as a leader in the church. He dreamt the leader and his gf were in an outside island and committed fortification. Ps asked Ps H to speak to them becoz Ps H knows them. God does not expose sins except to help- only to rescue. Be careful of people who say they know your sin, you tell them u also know theirs “Fault finding. U find a splinter in my eye but u have a telephone pole sticking out of urs.” The couple broke down when spoken to and admitted it. They broke up later. Ps also has had dreams to save lives- advice people to go for check up

The theme didn’t come even in January as Ps prayed and he doesn’t anyhow grab a theme. He prayed one night and slept, expecting theme next day. He had a dream & woke up and wrote down all the verses.

The year of GREATER GLORY. Glory is God’s magnificence and Shekainah. It will come on us and reflect from us this year.

Doxa- Greek (glory words, in NT always a good opinion concerning one resulting in praise honours and glory)

Kavot- Hebrew (glory, abundance, richness, splendour)

When the Hebrews saw the temple built by Nehemiah in place of Solomon’s temple-

Haggai 2:9- the glory of the latter temple shall be greater than the former.

Prophecy is two fold- former house and latter house.

Solomon’s temple magnificent but why is it not as glorious as the latter temple? Because Jesus will walk in the precincts of the temple. Glory isn’t in the place but in person of Jesus.

Glory in the early church- no one hurt and all healed. Kairos moment where HS flowed through the churches where Paul preached.

The glory the church of today is greater than the church of the acts of apostle. God restores in the latter times.

2Cor 3:9
Ministry of righteousness exceeds much more the glory of the ministry of condemnation. Grace exceeds much more in glory.

Isaiah 60:1-5

This year will have a lot of mayhem and darkness. Masses of people in turmoil and fighting. Not a good year for the world. More financial instability in the world.

We saw a lot of bloodshed in the Middle East and the President and congress of USA come v close to default in payments.

This year… what he saw for this year is dark. He is a positive preacher but truth is it is dark this year for the year.

But the LORD promises His glory will be seen upon us! See v2.

Darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness, the people.

The chapt doesn’t begin w millennium. Not a future Millenia. Towards end of the chapt talks about Millenia. This beginning of the chapt talks about end times which we live in.

God will manifest His splendour and light and magnificence on you.

Encik (superior) in the army made fun of Ps friend during NS coz his friend is a Christian. Ps looked at him and saw his face shone. Bible says if we are reproached because of Christ, the LORD’s glory will shine from us.

V2-

Darkness- normal darkness

Deep darkness- dark cloud (imagery of thunder cloud over someone’s head)

Anointing Oil first time mentioned- house of God (Bethel)

Dark clouds first mention- people ran away from Moses coz saw a dark cloud (law given )

Bright cloud- wherever Jesus is, grace is, no dark clouds. When Peter offered to build booths for Moses, Elijah and Jesus… A bright cloud appeared.

All prophecy is 2 fold

Isaiah 60 is both for physical Israel and spiritual Israel (us- grafted in)

The Gentiles are going to come to us in V3 coz of the brightness of His glory. This year they will come to u- even for biz.

Preacher preached to a tribe that are cannibals. This missionary preached to them and no opposition from the whole village. They all received Jesus. Wondering why no resistance and they receives Him. The chief said the first day he walked into forest, all positioned to kill him. Asked him who was that big shining one walking beside him. He had a huge shining sword. Manifestation of the LORD’s glory.

In Hotel Otani, where Ps was preaching. An old man saw a big shining one standing next to Ps. He had never been to church before. Asked his daughter about it

Sin- if miss the bullseye when shooting, miss the mark = in Gree
What is the mark we missed? Romans 3:23 all have fallen short of the glory of God. (Because of man’s fallen nature)

God meant for us to live in His glory. To have a perfect mind.

Right brain- more creative. Left brain- more logical. Some people their left brain have nothing right in it and their right brain have nothing left in it. God wants us to have a mind of shalom- restful, peaceful.

We fall short of the glory and settle for less. We rescue the low life and lose the high life. If u lose the low life, u will find the high life.

God multiplies time for everyone. Some days feel shorter and some days feel longer. Step out and do what the LORD asks u to do. Whatever u give to the LORD, He multiplies it back to u.

Give Him the best of your youth and He multiplies it back to u. Give up your small ambitions. Some want to be ahead of paper chase but lose everything in the end. God means to give us big things where our soul finds joy and satisfaction in addition to everything else aka provision, time, our dreams etc

What we give up to God, he will multiply to us. Trust Him.

When Peter first met Jesus, worked all night and caught nothing. Launched out into the deep because Jesus said so- given net breaking boat sinking load of fishes… Peter gave Jesus his boat to preach from… Got back not just qty. The fish u eat in Israel now is called St Peter’s fish. Jesus gave him quality- people remember who Peter is.

There are people who decide where to relocate themselves based on material reasons- $. Worship leader, Aaron, heard Ps preach in Hillsong. He relocated to SG w his family. Relocated because of church. Then, no one knew about his gift for worship leading. Whatever he gave up, he enjoys even more so now

Relocation to Shechem instead of Bethel for wrong reasons. Consequence- Dina was raped and the twelve sons of Jacob attacked and murdered the perpetrators. Becoz Jacob made decision wrongly.

Make decisions base on kingdom of God. Not $. We can never afford time. We need time multiply. The only one who can multiply it is God.

Can have Kids at home and they are far away- parents lose control of their kids. This year they will come back to their parents. V4

V5- the wealth of the unbelievers will come to u this year

Sea- represents the gentile nations. Literally the seas around Israel- discovered to hold large reservoirs of gas. Abundance of the sea yielding at such a time as this.

2014- look out for israel. Major shiftings happening in Israel. God’s heart is for them regardless what happens and He won’t forget His people.

Kavod- glory, prosperity,

First mention of KAVOD = Gen 31:1 “Wealth”- glory
First mention of glory was wealth.

Root word of Kaved means heavy. When u honour someone, u give weight to what they say.

Curse in Hebrew (Kalal)- to make light

Glory is heavy. Curse is light. So when the devil says something to u, make light of it. When God says something, give weight to it.

First mention of Kaved- Gen 13:2
Abraham was very RICH (Kaved)

Yes there is glory and splendour this year but also wealth is coming.

Some focus on keeping and end up losing. But when u focus on Jesus and step into Christ- rest is directed activity. A river that is stagnant is smelly. A river that flows has life.

Give up small ambitions.

Greater glory = life more abundantly. Beyond natural riches.

Doxa- appearance that commands respect. —> will come upon us.

Testimony- guy had addictions to smoking and porn etc. worked hard to get things right in his life. Felt guilty reading bible and condemned. Read Destined to Reign- lost desire to smoke. Deliverance, glory- diff from making new year resolutions. Desire to do wrong ceases through God’s grace- smoking gave up and porn also no more power or dominion over him. It saw him going through.ten years of self struggling but through God’s grace, v quickly gave up. Sales- he got 74 sales in a week for work after praying for 70. All this while he never hit so much and most can’t hit 40 or so even.

A person was diagnosed w Lymphoma. She and her husband heard pastor’s sermon and took communion daily. Declared as Jesus is, so is she. At the Cross, Jesus bore all our sickness and finished them off. He rose free of sickness. As He is, so are we in this world. CT scan showed cancer had spread. She went for procedure and was in peace. Endoscopy done and the biopsy showed no cancer. Doc asked what she did, cured. Even as she prayed as Jesus is, things got worse and at that of many people just give up but she believed nonetheless and she received His glory

Jesus prayed this prayer in upper room. High priestly prayer-

John 17:22-23

He has given us His glory. Sin is falling short of glory. Jesus gave us back this lost glory.

Once u are saved, God has given u Jesus’ glory. Not past tense but perfect tense- given once and for all, never be repeated but continues working in us.

Churches might seem split up coz of diff denominations but God only sees one church- the body of Christ.

V23- let them know that you have loved me AS (not less than) you have loved me. The Father loves u in the exact same proportion as He loves Jesus.

Don’t let fear come in. Don’t fall from the glory of God in your mind and start worrying. Remember God is with u.

There is a glory that belongs only to God but the glory that Jesus gave us, it is pride to reject it. It is already given. U can have it but not manifest it. Comes by faith. Wake up each day and know u have that glory of God.

Purple cloth covered bronze altar in the OT. After Jesus was mocked and crowned, the Romans didn’t know what they were doing when they covered Jesus w a purple cloth.

All your falling short, He takes & all His glory, He gives u.
