After camera goes off, every single time regardless of who it is, they will ask this one question, “Did I do ok? Was I ok?” Over 25y, over 30k people… Same question.
Even folks from Ivy League unis also need to be validated and affirmed.
Ps Lian thought- you know what? Even Ivy League students need to feel secure and significant.
Security and significance are necessary for success.
Wonderful as an Ivy League Uni degree might be, it doesn’t guarantee you security nor true significance. Didn’t say it won’t guarantee u flashy cars or lots of money… It doesn’t guarantee you true success
If only they know Jesus and how through Him they can have real success, true security, true significance
Romans 5:17
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundan d of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ
Receiving grace= true security coz not dependent on you or your effort; its unmerited. How much can you do to make people happy? But when God favours u coz of unmerited favour, u can be secure.
Righteousness makes us truly significant. Not hinged on right bhv. It produces right bhv. You by right bhv can never be secure coz how long an your bhv stay right? Plus our righteousness is based on His perfect and finished work on the Cross- true significance.
Ps Lian was talking to a leader whom she knew from her late teens. They laughed at the past and reminiscing what she was like. Scrawny with low self esteem. Made CGL and wondered why coz she couldn’t talk well. She would write all she wanted to say to her CG on four pages, read it out verbatim and go home. She also felt she was unattractive, stupid, uninteresting. Hated serving God and it was torturous for her. And for 12y she was in church and didn’t believe God would favour her coz He had no reason to favour her. UNTIL she came to really understand favour doesn’t need her to do anything, that it is because He is so good not coz whether she is good. Took 12y for to see that. When it dawned on her, it transformed her. The life from inside came out. A true revelation and a true sense of security came in. Now married with 2 kids. That is what happens when you really believe and have a real revelation of what is true grace & makes u therefore, to reign in life.
What is the journey of that revelation of everything and anything Jesus has done for us?
When we allow the eternal to enter our internal, it will impact the external. – Ps Lian heard from a preacher.
So how can we let the eternal inside to impact our outside?
John 15:5
– critical verse to Ps Lian. Without His life in us we can do NO THING.
Need to listen and let His life to flow in us.
That leader waited 12y to catch her revelation but after that expc exponential growth. But it can happen instantly. A youth shared how he didn’t want to go for ministry and was in a r/s but felt lousy about it. Forced to go church although hated it. One day in the midst of his slumber and stupor, he woke up when Ps preached about RAPTURE. A youth with no taste for God woke up when Ps preached on rapture. When real life happens, it produces fruit. Fake things don’t produce life. For the first time realised he didn’t want to live the way he did anymore. When real life enters us – changes our perspective and purpose & has power. He encountered real life, was impacted inside and started going church on his own, started serving and it has been 2y
We want to look at how we can allow that vine life to impact us on the inside to change our views and purpose, produce a peace only true life can bring about.
John 15:5 tells us to produce fruit must ABIDE in HIM.
WHAT IS ABIDING IN CHRIST?
Abide in the GreeK= MENO
CONTINUE; DWELL; ENDURE; BE PRESENT; REMAIN
John 15:6-8
V6- the burning, is it hell? No because the context of this verse is fruit bearing, not salvation.
V7- if u remain in Him (how? In His Word)
Stay planted in His Word. Not plucking in and out and in and out. Sown words let it just stay there. If u are going through a challenge, don’t accept it and don’t allow the things the world wants to be sown in your heart. Let God’s Word be sown into your heart. Even though my body is dead becoz of sin, my Spirit is alive because of the gift of righteousness & because of the Spirit life, I will have mortal life
Your Word is more real than the symptom. What prevents the word from bearing fruit isn’t whether the symptom remains or not BUT whether you stay planted in the Word and let it remain in you
Lady was told she is barren. So she continued to go for medical treatment with her doc but refused to let the doc’s word remain in her. She lets HIS Word remain in her instead of the reports of the world. Doc later told the lady after another miscarriage that she was doubly barren, it reminded her of Sarah and felt like asking her Husband to sleep with someone else. He scolded her. She journeyed with the Word and allowed the Word to remain in her. March this year, she gave birth to her miracle baby. 🙂 tears of joy instead of tears of sadness.
The fruit borne out of letting the incorruptible word remain in her.
John 15:9-10
Abide in my LOVE. When we abide in His Word, we abide in Christ. But it is not just about abiding in His Word and doctrine and principals and great concepts coz Jesus is a LIVING Word. He wants us to abide in His love- to have that r/s with Him.
So how we abide in His love?
Some panic coz v10 speaks about abiding in His commandments.
Let scripture interpret scripture. See 1 John 3:23
– that we should believe on Christ and love one another
How to believe? 1 John 4:16– known and believe the love > NIV> and so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
Depend on Him. Don’t live an independent life. Involve Him, ask for His wisdom, His patience etc
An experiment that was conducted by doc at Berkeley. Worked with rats in a lab in California and then moved over to Germany. The rats lived 600 over days and died in California and 800 over days in Germany. Investigated. There was one difference btw the lab workers and their way of caring for the rats. The Germans would sayang and show concer for the rats. She took them back and continued care and the rats lasted 900+ days. Just touch and interaction caused them to live longer, how much more us who touch Christ who is a life giving spirit
Everyday involve Him in our lives. Small or big issues. And it will impact us.
Until we have that interaction with Him, everything is a concept that is dry. Suicidal lady same to see Ps Lian. Had many degrees yet had no security or significance and felt useless. After 3-4 sessions, she told Ps Lian, “All you are sharing is just fairytale.” No relationship with her saviour so no vine life flowing in her. Ps Lian continued to pray over her. One day, she came to Ps Lian and from her eyes can see change. Started involving Jesus in her life and the vine life started flowing in her. Never too late to involve Him. Allow the vine life because it will give you supernatural power that will touch your external circumstances.
We believe we are the righteousness of God etc but need to cling on it even more when the attacks come

What are Standards?
Sound familiar? On a hill far away…: Jesus took the lashes on His back, was spat and mocked. He did all that so that today we can have vine life flow into us and have life more abundantly.
God has only one answer to every problem we have and that is what Christ has done in the cross- Watchman Nee. God will just cause us to see more of Jesus coz we receive more of his vine life, peace, strength etc and going to impact our external.
Come to Him and surrender all your natural thoughts and natural thinking that say you cannot… Surrender them. Let the living Word bring life and light into you. Let the vine life flow right now. As we let go, we let God take over.
Some are like boats being tossed in a storm and Jesus coming right now and let Him into your boat right now. Shalom. Peace. Be still. Fear not. No weapon formed against u shall prosper. Amen. Thank you Jdsus.
Key. The LORD giving some a key and saying fear not I have the answer. Just take that key and the door will be open.
